COCOBOD Cheques used in paying NDC Campaign Adverts

ACCRA  –  Cheques belonging to the Ghana Cocoa Board and intercepted by the media, are being used in paying for campaign adverts of the NDC.

According to copies of cheques leaked to us by an insider, GHS 150 million has since been spent and GHS 30 million more are yet to be drawn by Printing Houses and Television stations.

A source at ADB has confirmed payment of over GHS 12 million to METRO.

Checks on various TV and radio stations reveal that COCOBOD is currently not running any adverts on their platforms.

An invoice that accompanied a cheque to METRO has the description “NDC Campaign ad”.

Concerns have been raised on the amount of monies spent by the ruling NDC on their campaign. GHS 100 million was earlier on spent in the launch of its “Green Book”.

COCOBOD is currently the richest institution in Ghana as the office has been fed with over a billion cedis to purchase Cocoa beans.
